The beauty of it is that you can also let the winter landscape work its magic on you at a leisurely pace: On a winter hike, on a snowshoe hike - peace and quiet. The Arlberg and Warth-Schröcken have always been known for lots of snow and impressive winter experiences in a dream setting. Ramba-Zamba at après-ski? That has never been our thing.

We would like to show you our winter wonderland:
The Aadla chalet village is located where untouched powder snow slopes, magnificent mountain panoramas and of course plenty of kilometres of pistes await you.
Peace and closeness to nature are the hallmarks of our region - away from the ski slopes. You breathe in the fresh, clear mountain air, far away from everyday life.
White landscapes and mountain panoramas form the ideal backdrop for winter walks, cross-country skiing or snowshoe hiking. Or do you fancy a hearty toboggan ride (that's what we call sledging) or a torchlight hike?
Back at your Aadla Chalet, you can end the day in a wonderful way. Listen to the crackling fireplace or enjoy a nice glass of wine on the chalet terrace – wrapped in a thick blanket.

Winter on the Arlberg off the slopes
Romantic in the snow
- Romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride
- Tobogganing - fun for everyone during the day or in the evening! In the evening you can also take the toboggan bus. And after the 2 km long toboggan run on the illuminated track, you can have tea or mulled wine
- Impressive torchlight hike to the alpine pasture, where a stop with cheese fondue awaits you
Cross-country skiing in a dream setting
Varied cross-country ski trails in an idyllic winter landscape await all those who enjoy classic or skating techniques. The trails at the Hochtannberg Pass are just one bus stop from the chalets – and they will delight you:
- picturesque between rolling hills and grandiose mountains
- Cross-country skiing at 1,600 or 1,700 metres as healthy altitude training
Sunny winter walks
Well-prepared winter hiking trails invite you to a glittering winter walk in the sunshine. Here on the high plateau you can let the snow-covered, picturesque mountain scenery of the Arlberg take effect on you.

Fancy a trip to the city? A city break to Bregenz with

At Christmas time it is worth visiting the
- atmospheric Christmas market in the old town of Bregenz.
Sauna & wellness enjoyment
How nice that your chalet has no fixed sauna times: here you can enjoy your private sauna at any time of the day or evening!
Look forward to the wonderful feeling of body and mind relaxing in the hot sauna with a view of the mountain scenery. Afterwards, you can enjoy the wonderfully fresh mountain air on the terrace – and slip into your hot bath.
Enjoy the view of the stars alone or as a couple with a cup of tea, a glass of wine, or a cold beer. And make plans for the next day of your vacation.
Snowshoeing with guide
Deep snow-covered landscape, bright sunshine, crunching snow under the snowshoes.
Your guide will show you the best way to trudge across the snow using snowshoes and ski poles. Then you're ready to go!
Discover magical places around Warth-Schröcken with certified ski instructors, places you would otherwise walk right past.
The pleasant exercise in the fresh winter air and the enjoyment of the scenery will boost both mood and energy!
Fairytale winter
Only a few minutes away from the Aadla Chalets, you or the whole family will find everything for fun in the snow: ski school for the little ones, cross-country ski trails for the adults and a restaurant with a large sun terrace.
From here you can also hike past the beautiful Simmel Chapel to the World Peace Cross on the Simmel and sign the "book of peace". Afterwards, meet back at the Gasthaus Adler for hot cocoa or fluffy apple strudel.
Ski experience Arlberg
Would you like to discover "Ski Arlberg" - the largest connected skiing area in Austria - during your winter holiday? Then the Aadla Walser Chalets are the perfect place for you!
Start your day with the Saloberjet cable car from the Warth-Schröcken ski area, accessing over 300 kilometers of slopes for skiers and snowboarders. The Arlberg region is also renowned as a dream destination for freeriders – we'd be happy to arrange an experienced guide for you!
The return to the chalet is via the valley run, which takes you almost to the chalet door.
