Pleasure hikes
Cabins to suit every taste
Would you like a traditional Kaiserschmarren today? Or perhaps a hearty trio of dumplings? Our mountain huts have something to suit every palate.
Auenfelderhütte
Also known as the "Dumpling Hut," the name itself hints at what this hut offers to satisfy appetites. Here, dumplings are diligently made year-round, ensuring that empty stomachs can be filled with classic bacon or spinach dumplings, summer and winter alike. Of course, the hut also offers other regional specialties.
You can reach the Auenfelderhütte via the Körbersee and the Auenfeld or from the Hochtannbergpass via the service road, which is known as a ski slope in winter.
Hochalphütte
What would a holiday in Austria be without Kaiserschmarren? The Hochalphütte has you covered. Take the Steffisalp cable car up the first few hundred meters, then a short climb leads towards the Spitziger Stein and on to the hut.
Tip: Every Saturday in August and September, the hut offers the culinary highlight "Hot Stone" in the evening. Early risers combine their visit with a mountain breakfast after a sunrise hike.
Widderstein Hut
Enjoyment with a panoramic view: At the Widderstein Hut, you're guaranteed to enjoy more than just your food. From the Hotel Adler at the Hochtannberg Pass, you can reach the hut in about 40 minutes via a climb through the green mountainside.
Tip: Those who do not wish to return the same way can choose the descent via the Hochalpsee lake.
More tips for places to eat
Cafe Uta in the Lechtal

The starting point is the church in Holzgau; the path leads along the stream through the forest to the Simms waterfall and on to the hut.
Kasermandl in the Lechtal
Dumplings, homemade bacon, cheese, tarte flambée, and organic steaks from local farmers: The Kasermandl-Hütte delights with regional cuisine and a rustic dining room. The starting point is the Geierwally parking lot in Elbigenalp.
Rud Alpe in Lech
On the sun terrace of the Rud Alpe, you can enjoy Austrian specialties with a view of Lech. Especially family-friendly: the puzzle trail and the Arlenzauberweg (Arlen Magic Trail) lead directly to the hut, where a water playground awaits.
